Spot a suspicious email

Check the sender, links and requests for urgent action.

Pause before you click

Check urgent requests to pay an invoice or share a sign-in code. Look at the sender’s full email address: a familiar display name does not prove the message is authentic.

Open the service yourself

If an email reports an account problem, open the familiar website from a bookmark or type its address yourself. Do not reply with verification codes or passwords.
